Quotes about movement

After the post yesterday I thought about the challenge of either going back and revisiting past experiences and also the challenges of moving forward. I like using some of these quotes in presentations or team sessions to get people thinking and communicating with each other.

There are many ways of going forward, but only one way of standing still. Franklin D. Roosevelt.

You can't build a reputation on what you are going to do. Henry Ford.

There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting. Buddha.

Reaction - a boat which is going against the current but which does not prevent the river from flowing on. Victor Hugo.

Without education, you are not going anywhere in this world. Malcolm X.

The world turns aside to let any man pass who knows where he is going. Epictetus.

You have to have an idea of what you are going to do, but it should be a vague idea. Pablo Picasso.

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. T. S. Eliot.

If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there. Lewis Carroll.

It isn't sufficient just to want - you've got to ask yourself what you are going to do to get the things you want. Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Technological progress has merely provided us with more efficient means for going backwards.
Aldous Huxley.
