Hospital superbugs: an update

Seven weeks ago I wrote about hospital superbugs and the various issues concerning their continued presence in hospitals. A report published yesterday in the Telegraph highlighted that the growth of the numbers of people infected could have been due to over prescription of antibiotics. Follow the link as it makes for an interesting read.

The Independent also report that a drug currently undergoing human trials could prove effective in the battle against MRSA. The drug could be applied to the nostril in the form of a gel. Follow the link to find out more.
