Generations coming together

Last night, I went to experience Bjorn Again, the Abba tribute band, and it was a great evening. In the second half the whole audience with only a few exceptions were up on their feet singing and dancing to the well known songs (including Dancing Queen). As we were enjoying the atmosphere of the evening it was great to see that people from six to seventy-six were up dancing, celebrating the joy of life together.

It struck me that all too often we try and define the differences between Baby Boomers, Generation X, Generation Y and eventually Generation Z, but the truth is we have far more in common than the areas where we actually differ. Perhaps we should look for more ways to come together as a group rather than compartmentalising each generation? If we are going to address some of the major issues we face around the world then it is probably essential!
